Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the routine and long-term upkeep of our sophisticated foundry and mill machinery within an industrial manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and rebuild industrial production machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, skid steer loaders, shop cranes, scissor lifts, and articulating man lifts, as necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Interpret safety protocols and work instructions, both verbal and written, to ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of general mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating assemblies (bearings, couplings, gears, chains, sprockets, brakes, clutches, belts, and pulleys).
  • Experience in troubleshooting and rebuilding various pump types, such as centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Strong initiative, multitasking abilities, and effective teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
