Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Veritas Steel LLC. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our electrical and electronic equipment, including CNC machines, hydraulic equipment, and welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, implementing safe and effective solutions
  • Collaborate with production teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and office personnel to ensure seamless operations
  • Anticipate equipment needs and inform supervisors of status
  • Coordinate work with all shops and yard crews to ensure efficient production
  • Utilize cost-effective processes and solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in electronic controls and PLC programming
  • Certified Lincoln Electric controller repair
  • Strong background in CNC programming for various machining centers and burn tables
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, and heavy steel
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots
