Job Overview

Position: Hydraulic Tong Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, assess, and evaluate the functionality of machinery and equipment to identify issues.
  • Dismantle machinery to extract components for repair.
  • Inspect parts for faults, including fractures or excessive wear.
  • Repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery components.
  • Maintain cleanliness and lubrication of equipment and parts.
  • Conduct test runs on repaired machinery to confirm repair effectiveness.
  • Manufacture replacement components as necessary.
  • Procure parts required for machinery repairs.
  • Assist in documenting maintenance and repair activities.
  • Understand and adhere to operational and technical procedures as well as workplace guidelines.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies of Noble Casing Inc.
  • Ensure work assignments are completed to the highest standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor within the job's physical limitations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanics or a related field, with a preference for hydraulics experience.
  • Ability to interpret repair manuals, possess mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate good computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to quality.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Thorough understanding of safety and work standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills.
  • Cost-conscious approach to work.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of all Noble and industry-specific training.
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Light Duty: Lifting up to 20 pounds, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Medium Duty: Lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Heavy Work: Lifting up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to chemicals, cold, dampness, fumes/gases, heat/humidity, noise, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and occasional climbing and twisting.

Compensation: $30-35 Hourly Wage
