Overview
The Financial Business Systems Analyst is accountable for the daily management of PeopleSoft, focusing on assessing, analyzing, and fulfilling the user requirements of the PeopleSoft business system. The business systems are categorized by line of business (LOB): Materials Management, Grant & Fund Accounting, and Finance. Key responsibilities include (1) converting business needs into design specifications for development, (2) diagnosing issues and providing solutions, (3) crafting queries and reports, (4) conducting testing, and (5) supporting the creation of training resources.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive documentation outlining user requirements, program functionalities, and the necessary steps for developing or modifying PeopleSoft applications.
• Analyze and assess fixes for PeopleSoft applications.
• Collaborate with Systems Analysts to create and execute test plans, including processes, panels, and reports.
• Review new PeopleSoft modules and third-party applications.
• Work in close partnership with other PeopleSoft business analysts across Materials Management, Finance, and Grant & Fund Accounting.
• Facilitate initial user acceptance testing of LOB modules and oversee the final user acceptance process.
Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP):
- Proficient knowledge of PeopleSoft 8.4.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, with a focus on requirements gathering, testing, and implementation.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for business documentation and presentations.
