Job Title: Accounting Analyst

At Tierra Mia Coffee Company, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with financial analysis and reports, as well as maintaining general ledger accounts and monitoring accounting data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General bookkeeping and maintenance of general ledger accounts
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
  • Developing and producing regular financial statements, including cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets
  • Responsible for month-end closing and year-end closing, including posting journal entries and reconciling account balances
  • Sustaining and advancing department digital and physical filing systems
  • Completing ad-hoc projects and analysis as determined by management
  • Observing strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial information

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-years relevant experience working in accounting
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting rules and concepts
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Experience with journal entries, account analysis, reporting, and month/year-end closing
  • High aptitude in MS Excel and ability to create, maintain, and update financial spreadsheets
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter who can prioritize and multi-task
  • Exceptional work ethic, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and eager to exceed expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in Tierra Mia Coffee's approach to coffee and café culture, and in contributing to the betterment of the communities in which Tierra Mia Coffee is a part of
