Job Summary

Pye Barker Fire and Safety LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler System Inspector, you will be responsible for performing building sprinkler inspections, testing devices, and generating reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and accurate sprinkler system inspections, including testing devices and recording results.
  • Generate and submit completed Sprinkler Inspection Reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist in collecting data and generating necessary paperwork, including Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss inspection results and share best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred, but a High School diploma or equivalent with acceptable experience is acceptable.
  • Must be able to study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Must stay current with code requirements and industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices.
  • Good networking PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Palm unit operating systems.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site.
  • Punctuality is critical, as sound tests must be performed prior to building tenant arrivals.
Physical Requirements
  • Industrial, commercial, and residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Comfort with working at heights and ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
