Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our Medical Surgical Unit at Northern Light Mayo Hospital, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and start intravenous fluids, documenting patient information in their electronic medical record.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Provide basic patient care, such as taking vital signs, dressing wounds, and performing catheterizations.
  • Maintain a safe environment and report any environmental hazards or patient safety concerns.

Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Maine.
  • BLS certification, to be obtained prior to independently caring for patients.
  • Graduate from an accredited LPN program or state-determined eligibility.
