About the Role:As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to our patients on the Medical Surgical Unit. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications and start intravenous fluids as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide basic patient care, including taking vital signs and performing treatments.
- Maintain a safe environment and report any hazards or violations of patient safety policy.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Maine.
- BLS certification.
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program or state-determined eligibility.
This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. You will also need to drive to perform responsible duties and may be required to work alternate shift schedules, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
