The Cherry Creek Schools Commercial Kitchen Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all Food and Nutrition Services commercial food service equipment districtwide. This position collaborates with contracted repair vendors to provide timely and effective repair and preventative maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Responsible for the repair, preventative maintenance, and recommendation for replacement of commercial kitchen equipment, including ice machines, dishwashers, ovens, and other appliances.
- Warranty Management: Observes and supports manufacturers' warranties to ensure compliance and minimize costs.
- Inventory Management: Maintains a stock of replacement parts to ensure prompt repair and minimize downtime.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicates with equipment manufacturers for proper repair methods and attends equipment training and updates as needed.
- Work Order Management: Completes work orders and requests in a timely fashion and maintains a daily work log.
- Reporting and Documentation: Communicates repair status to kitchen management and supervisor in a timely manner and maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Criminal Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
- Education: High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
- Experience: Three (3) years of experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair required.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.
- Insurability: Must meet District insurability standards.
- Physical Demands: Medium work strength level (lifting or carrying 50 pounds).
- Work Environment: Primarily works indoors with a typical loud noise level.
- Ability to Perform: Ability to perform bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Visual Requirements: Ability to concentrate visually on equipment and work with others.
