Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Dearing Compressor. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing expert mechanical repair and maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on compressors, gas engines, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, including electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Overhaul and rebuild compressors, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports of work completed, including maintenance records and expense reports.
  • Collaborate with field engineers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Work in a variety of climate and environmental conditions, including overtime on nights and weekends as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-5+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Minimum of one year in a vocational/technical training or apprenticeship program, with experience repairing heavy equipment, compressors, and gas engines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including engineering specifications and safety rules.
  • Ability to write clear and concise work orders and detailed work summaries.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear background check and valid driver's license required.
