We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Responsibilities- Verify all medication orders and ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication use.
- Supervise the dispensing of medications and ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to patients.
- Provide patient education and counseling on medication use and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D. degree.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in Iowa.
- At least one year of hospital clinical experience or residency.
- Board Certification and ACLS/PALS certification preferred.
