Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet patients and explain procedures to them in a compassionate manner, positioning them appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques, process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician as well as radiologist overreads.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Utilize digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures, and perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment.
  • Administrative Support: Complete forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed, and serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant when needed within appropriate guidelines.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a Limited-Scope X-Ray Technician certificate. ARRT-registered or board eligible, and licensed per state regulation.
