DocGo is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to fill the role of LVN Trainer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for training and mentoring LVNs in the field operations of DocGo Mobile Health. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative healthcare company that is revolutionizing the way healthcare is delivered.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training and guidance to LVNs on DocGo Mobile Health policies and procedures.
- Function as an Operational Workflow Trainer to ensure that LVNs are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties effectively.
- Work closely with the supervisory team and operations management staff to ensure continuity and consistency in our operations.
- Monitor workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Oversee site inventory, stocking, and cleanliness to ensure compliance with state requirements.
- Assist leadership with hiring recommendations, work scheduling, training needs, and budgeting.
- Conduct new hire orientation, shadow shift observations, and relay operational task completion information to leadership and nursing management.
- Identify employees with opportunities for improvement and refer them to leadership for follow-up as needed.
- Assist leadership in all areas of Risk Management, including incidents, accidents, health and safety, and other documentation as required.
- Support Operational management in areas related to ordering supplies, fleet, and training.
- Support Operational management to ensure proper communication of all company policies within clinical field operations to all staff members.
- Attend continuing education seminars relevant to this role.
- Maintain company compliance with OSHA regulations and SB 19.
- Troubleshoot problems in operational workflows and recommend possible solutions to leadership.
- Report all problems, information, and/or suggestions regarding the overall operation of the company to the Clinical Supervisor RN.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical support to DocGo Mobile Health practitioners related to the medical treatment of the Health Plan Partners patient population.
- Navigate conversations related to tasks assigned by the DocGo Mobile Health practitioners regarding care of patients.
- Provide patient care of common medical diagnoses at the direction and under the supervision of DocGo Mobile Health practitioners.
- Participate in continuing education as required by the state where you reside and the DocGo training team.
- Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
- Provide care with cultural sensitivity and compassion.
- Lead with a patient-centered approach.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- CA Driver's License (minimum of 2 years) with an acceptable driving record.
- Active and current BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital - Critical Care, Family Practice or other relevant areas experience preferred.
- Clinical work experience with pediatrics (preferred).
