Key Responsibilities:- Perform a wide range of technical skills during complex Cardiac interventional, Electrophysiology, or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients.
- Be proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures, and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration.
- Complete timely assessments per Practice Guidelines, including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, including signs of abuse or neglect.
- Make appropriate decisions and interventions and nursing diagnosis according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs.
- Set measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for the patient, assisting in the development and implementation of an individualized plan of care.
- Prioritize and complete follow-up assessments, evaluate, and modify the plan of care as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes.
- Participate in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and complete all required education by the due date.
- Support quality standards and initiatives set by the department, exhibiting a desire to learn, teach, mentor, and advance nursing skills.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately use PPE, and perform hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and enforce safety regulations, verifying orders and facilitating implementation, communicating with physicians as needed.
- Perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training, producing an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient.
- Maintain authenticity and security of the record, following prescribed process for amending documents.
- Take call as rotated/assigned and respond (in hospital) per policy.
- Utilize knowledge base to assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel, providing training for procedures within their competency.
- Graduate of a school of nursing, with knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and physiology.
- Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation, interventional radiology procedures, and this facility's equal opportunity employer policy.
