About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Repair Technician to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the highest quality of vehicle repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and complete mechanical and cosmetic repairs on customer and internal vehicles, adhering to CarMax policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate communication with customers throughout the repair process.
  • Locate, use, and control replacement parts and supply inventories, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, adhering to CarMax Quality Standards, and complete state inspections as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals, providing functional expertise and leadership as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to complete New Associate Orientation Training – Operations and maintain current Refrigerant Recycling License.
  • Where required by State/Local law, maintain current ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4) and Brakes (A5).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
