We are seeking a skilled Preop PACU PAT Nurse to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic's Ambulatory Surgery Center in Zephyrhills. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the post-procedure period.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized patient care, including pre-procedure preparation, anesthesia management, and post-anesthesia recovery.
- Initiate and document procedure verification processes, ensuring accurate patient identification and consent.
- Obtain thorough medical histories, assess patients, and notify physicians/anesthesia of potential adverse outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and conduct patient education.
- Ensure timely assessments, interventions, and communication with physicians/anesthesia regarding patient status.
- Document patient care in the medical record, adhering to FMC and unit policies and procedures.
- Current Florida RN licensure and ACLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an ASC or OR setting.
- Strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.
