Preoperative PACU Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Preoperative PACU Nurse to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide high-quality patient care in the preoperative and postoperative periods, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients, including assessment, documentation, and education
- Float between surgery departments as needed, ensuring efficient and effective patient care
- Collaborate with anesthesia and physician teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Conduct thorough medical histories, verify consent, and obtain comprehensive medication lists
- Initiate intravenous lines, provide patient education, and ensure timely assessments and interventions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Document all patient interactions and care provided in the medical record
- Current Florida RN licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong customer service orientation and basic computer proficiency
- Experience in an ICU environment required
