Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bus Operator to join our team at SouthCoast Transit Management Inc. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public and has a strong commitment to safety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating transit buses and demand response vans in New Bedford and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air brakes or better (will train qualified applicants).

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate transit buses and demand response vans safely and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public.
  • Use farebox, radio, and AVL/GPS systems effectively.
Requirements
  • Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air brakes or better.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment DOT Drug test and background evaluation.
  • Acknowledged driving record.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ 54,000 - 60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
