Job Summary:

The Recovery Support Specialist will work closely with our CERT Clinician to provide crisis intervention, support, and guidance to individuals in need. This role requires a strong understanding of recovery principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support services to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance abuse.
  • Collaborate with our CERT Clinician to develop and implement crisis intervention plans.
  • Work closely with community partners, first responders, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless crisis response.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • 2 years participation in recovery and abstinence from drugs or alcohol.
  • Prior experience with mental health crisis response preferred.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Systems of Care values and principles.
