We are seeking an Aquatic Safety Professional to join our team at the City of Dover

About the Role

This part-time position involves performing professional work in the safety and use of swimming pools, coordinating aquatics programs, and maintaining facility operations. You will be responsible for greeting the public, answering questions, and collecting fees.

As an Aquatic Safety Professional, you will participate in pool patrols, maintain safety rules and regulations, and distribute information about recreation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet the public using the aquatic facilities
  • Participate in pool patrols to ensure a safe environment
  • Receive user fees and handle cash transactions
  • Collect fees for memberships, lockers, and facility use
  • Maintain and enforce safety rules and regulations
  • Distribute information about recreation programs
  • Respond to public inquiries about aquatics programs
Requirements

To be successful as an Aquatic Safety Professional, you must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years' experience in aquatic programs. You should also possess certifications such as Lifeguard Instructor with CPR and First Aid, Water Safety Instructor, and Pool Operator Certification.

A valid motor vehicle operator's license is also required.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this part-time position is between $15.33 and $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
