Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work as a Radiologic Imaging Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain high-quality radiographs of patients using various equipment, including portable units. You will also be responsible for ensuring radiation safety guidelines are followed at all times, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the designated timeframe
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently
  • Perform computer operations (e.g., Meditech and PACS) to ensure proper charges are entered and referring physician's orders are verified
  • Rend patient care in a professional and courteous manner
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation
  • Maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS
  • Assist Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up tasks, such as cleaning CR plates and erasing cassettes
  • Complete and maintain personal educational requirements
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and patient information according to Policy and Procedure

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure

Licensure/Certification:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
