We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Office RN to join our Vascular Surgery team at Nuvance Health.

Job Summary:

To assist the physician or physician assistant in providing primary medical care to patients. Conducts surgical time outs, mixes anesthesia tumescant, maintains sterile fields, trains and assesses staff for in-office surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care, prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist the physician or the physician assistant with the patient's medical exam.
  • Collects, prepares, and analyzes patient specimens as directed by the physician or physician assistant.
  • Performs sterile in-office surgical procedures, including time outs, surgical consents, pre-and post-documentation, discharge instructions.
  • Maintains IAC standards of care and tracks complications in the accreditation log.
  • Contact patients by telephone to provide requested follow-up, advise them of test results, or relay a physician's instructions.
  • Performs organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG missions through a process of total quality improvement.

Requirements:

  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Supports MD's and PA's evaluation and care of patients.
  • Adheres to sterile technique for patient safety and procedural policies for infection control.
  • Provides supportive care to patients by being an expert in Vascular Care.
  • Minimum three years' experience.
