Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong positive attitude toward customer service, a genuine interest in geriatric care, and the ability to motivate and maintain relationships with staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents, delegates and supervises the care provided by nursing assistants, and administers medications as needed.
  • Performs treatments and procedures, obtains specimens, and completes documentation as required.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in assisting in the daily operation of the nursing department.
  • Provides daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff and directly provides nursing care to residents as assigned.
  • Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living, family/social activities, and promotes an independent lifestyle.
  • Initiates the individual plan of care based on health care goals, physician's orders, and nursing assessments.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment for resident comfort and convenience.
  • Responds to all call lights promptly and maintains continuous communication with physician and D.O.N.
Requirements
  • Unencumbered RN or LPN license for the state of Missouri.
