Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our Medical Surgical unit at Mercy South. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for managing acute medical surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient care on the Medical Surgical unit, including pre and post-op management of pain, wound care, and monitoring for complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
