Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform MRI procedures to produce accurate and high-quality images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping orient other staff to the department
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist or ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • 5 years of experience requires basic clinical and practical experience as typically acquired in a similar environment
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine MRI examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing assignments and working within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
Work Environment

This is a per diem/casual position with varied shift hours and weekend requirements. The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
