Position Summary:

The Senior Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for safeguarding cloud-based digital platforms and ensuring the protection of sensitive data. This role involves leading the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiative, which includes the formulation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to effectively implement and manage data security protocols within the organization, addressing compliance, audit, and risk management, as well as HR, Legal, and Privacy matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security event monitoring and assess information security to support risk management.
  • Investigate and recommend innovative technologies to enhance the security of cloud environments.
  • Manage customer relationships and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Develop reports, monitoring dashboards, workflows, and metrics within cloud and hybrid settings.
  • Establish and manage processes to prevent data exfiltration and ensure the integrity of sensitive information.
  • Review technology projects, analyze business requirements, and recommend system modifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security resources.
Technical Environment:

Familiarity with global security standards and frameworks (NIST, HIPAA), cyber threat intelligence, network protocols, endpoint detection and response, and various security controls is essential. Experience with incident response, SIEM, email security gateways, and threat management is also required.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with five years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, is required. Candidates should possess at least three years of experience with network protocols, security controls, and incident response. Proficiency in Python/scripting, familiarity with major security vendors, and experience with Linux/UNIX systems are preferred.
