The Position
As a Lead Security Architect for Infrastructure, you will oversee the security framework of Palantir's global infrastructure. Your technical acumen is complemented by your unwavering integrity and enthusiasm for security and technology. In this role, you will be engaged in constructing, testing, and fortifying the global infrastructure that supports our transformative products. You possess a robust security perspective, a profound commitment to infrastructure, and a keen interest in safeguarding our networks and endpoints from diverse threats. Your responsibilities will include designing, architecting, and implementing security enhancements for Palantir, while actively working to complicate matters for potential adversaries. Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy defensive security measures across Palantir's multi-cloud, multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes, OpenShift, and various other prominent open-source technologies.
- Provide specialized knowledge in protective controls, encompassing system, network, encryption, and authentication services across Palantir's suite of products, services, and infrastructure.
- Architect and develop automated systems to elevate the organization's security posture.
- Conduct security assessments and research on emerging platforms, products, architectures, vendors, and services to safeguard Palantir's data.
- Collaborate closely with members of the Technical Operations, Engineering, and Information Security teams to implement significant enhancements to the company's network defense strategies.
- 5+ years of direct experience in information security with extensive knowledge in securing container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Thorough understanding of contemporary adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Capability to independently manage projects while balancing competing priorities and effectively collaborating with peers.
- Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g., Amazon AWS, Google GCP, Microsoft Azure).
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Packer, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar), with experience in Golang being advantageous.
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance, or currently holding an active TS//SCI clearance.

The starting salary for this role is projected to be $145,000 per year, with total compensation including approximately $15,000 per year in equity compensation through Restricted Stock Units, based on the company's stock value at the time of grant. Note that total compensation will be determined by the candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate does not include the value of any potential sign-on bonuses, benefits, or future long-term incentives.
