We are seeking a skilled Feeder-Packer to join our Finishing Department at Graphic Packaging International. As a Feeder-Packer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality paperboard and paper-based packaging.
Key Responsibilities:- Feeding and Gluing: Safely and efficiently feed or remove cartons from gluers, ensuring proper alignment and quality control.
- Machine Operation: Continuously monitor and maintain machine feed, ensuring a steady supply of paper cartons while the machine is running.
- Communication: Collaborate with operators and fork lift drivers to ensure a smooth supply chain and minimize downtime.
- Quality Control: Inspect cartons for quality and excessive glue, and manually sort defective jobs as needed.
- Packaging: Hand-pack cartons into corrugated cases, ensuring accurate labeling and packaging standards.
- Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production or packaging role.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs continuously.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Our Finishing Department operates in a dynamic environment with fluctuating temperatures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including steel-toed/safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant safety gloves, and a hair net.
