We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our Industrial/Manufacturing team at J. E. Dunn Construction Group. As an Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of industrial and manufacturing projects, working closely with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the creation of design solutions for industrial and manufacturing projects through feasibility studies, conceptual and schematic design, and development activities.
- Develop design concepts and documents during concept, schematic, and design development phases.
- Direct involvement in the development and production of construction documents and specifications.
- Research, specify, and detail materials, finishes, products, and fixtures utilizing manufacturer product data.
- Develop, modify, and review design concepts, production drawings, and construction documents according to established standards and technical expertise.
- Participate in design and operational research, building and systems programming, site and building analysis, and report documentation.
- Prepare design presentations to clients, communities, and other pertinent stakeholders, including public agencies.
- Partner with project teams throughout the design and construction process.
- Coordinate directly with clients in the day-to-day project management of design development and provide construction administration services.
- Observe construction activities and work with contractors to ensure successful execution of design intent.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field (Required).
- Degree from a NAAB-accredited architecture program (Preferred).
- 5+ years of architectural experience (Preferred).
- Cross-functional knowledge of key engineering disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Structural, MEP) and relevant trades.
- General construction experience (Preferred).
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- May require extensive periods of travel.
- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
- May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office.
- Frequent activity: Sitting, viewing computer screen.
- Occasional activity: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
