Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency medical calls, providing advanced paramedical assistance to patients, and working collaboratively with other emergency responders to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency medical calls and provide advanced paramedical assistance to patients.
  • Perform initial and management of illness or injury to patients in accordance with specified protocol and procedure.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of patients for transport, ensuring compliance with emergency medical transport regulations, protocols, and procedures.
  • Provide direct paramedical and comprehensive patient care as required in each individual case.
  • Lead, guide, and/or assist in the training of lower-level technicians and/or students, as specifically assigned.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives; and maintain quality improvement objectives, safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Check emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent, and National Registry as a Paramedic, with two (2) years of experience as an Emergency Medical Services provider (EMS).
  • Valid license as a Virgin Islands Paramedic.
