The Operating Room Staff Nurse is a registered nurse who is responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care to all surgery patients utilizing the nursing process. The registered nurse also directs and supervises assigned personnel delivering patient care while in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Direct and supervise assigned personnel delivering patient care while in the operating room.
- Skilled in all surgical service lines, including General, Robotics, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Urology, Gynecology, and ENT.
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
