Job Title: Behavior Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team at ABA Insight. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing one-on-one therapy services to individuals with autism. You will be responsible for teaching functional skills and reducing problematic behaviors in various settings, including home, schools, and community environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow a treatment plan developed by a supervising BCBA and collaborate with the treatment team
  • Prompt safe and socially appropriate behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills
  • Adhere to standards for data collection, therapy documentation, and professional conduct
  • Perform tasks requested by the supervising BCBA within the boundaries of the BT role when providing treatment
  • Collaborate with the supervising BCBA to communicate client-specific progress and changes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
  • Facilitate client daily needs, including feeding, toileting, and dressing
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized therapeutic environment
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including required trainings
  • Follow the code of ethics as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and other credentialing bodies
  • Commit to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA laws
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to pass all background checks and complete required trainings
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, and standing) for extended periods
  • Must be willing to sit on the floor for extended periods
  • Must be willing to work in various environments to perform therapy
  • Must be willing to drive within a 30-mile radius as needed for treatment of clients
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
  • Must have access to email and phone contact
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in psychology, special education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related human service fields
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is preferred but not required
