Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer at Optum, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative software solutions that improve health outcomes for millions of people. You will work closely with our team to evaluate business goals, identify problems, and propose solutions using cutting-edge tools and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React JS.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Ensure team follows best practices and improves application performance.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and drive smooth progress on delivering new functionality.
  • Support the development team by validating design and implementation against requirements and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, and React JS.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and Google Web Optimization guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of web application networking and communication flows.
  • Demonstrated success designing and building high-quality, scalable commercial software applications.
