Job Description

At Soliant, we are seeking a highly skilled Education Diagnostician to join our team in a near Waelder, Texas location.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in identifying and assessing students' learning needs and disabilities to ensure they receive appropriate educational interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Evaluation
  • Administer and interpret a range of standardized and non-standardized tests to assess cognitive, academic, and behavioral functioning.
  • Conduct observations and gather information from multiple sources, including teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.
  • Develop comprehensive evaluation reports that summarize findings, provide diagnoses, and recommend appropriate interventions.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in the development, review, and revision of IEPs for students with special needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create tailored educational strategies and accommodations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of IEPs and adjust as needed based on student progress and feedback.
Collaboration and Consultation
  • Provide guidance and support to educators on implementing strategies and accommodations for students with learning differences.
  • Consult with parents to explain assessment results, diagnosis, and recommended interventions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including school psychologists, speech therapists, and social workers, to address students' needs holistically.
Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations related to special education and diagnostic practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, evaluations, and IEPs.
  • Prepare and submit reports and documentation required for legal and administrative purposes.
Professional Development
  • Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and changes in educational policies and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Educational Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Certification/Licensure: Valid state certification or licensure as an Education Diagnostician or equivalent (requirements may vary by state).
  • Experience: Previous experience in educational diagnostics, special education, or a related field is preferred.
