The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in managing relationships with a designated group of clients. This position requires making informed decisions regarding freight acceptance, particularly when capacity is constrained, ensuring that client needs and revenue generation are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receive and process orders from clients through various communication channels, accurately entering them into the TMW Order Management System.
  2. Proactively solicit freight from clients as directed by the Terminal Manager or Planner, ensuring all available capacity is utilized effectively.
  3. Collaborate with clients to adjust scheduled loading and delivery times, ensuring seamless coverage and timely updates to the TMW system and terminal personnel.
  4. Work closely with Planners, Drivers, and other terminal staff to meet all customer requirements efficiently.
  5. Monitor all loads using TMW/Peoplenet/Trip alert to identify and address service concerns proactively.
  6. Coordinate with other departments to secure accurate locations, commodity codes, and credit approvals for all clients and shipping locations.
  7. Ensure precise data entry and proper order updates for terminal billing processes.
  8. Document all service issues accurately in the NCR system.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience with Google Apps is preferred.
  • Familiarity with transportation software such as EDI, TMW, and PeopleNet.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
