Job Title: Social Media Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team at SAG-AFTRA. As a key member of our Communications & Marketing department, you will be responsible for creating and implementing social media strategies that engage our audience and promote our brand.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute social media campaigns across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist to build and maintain social media calendars, create engaging content, and track analytics.
  • Produce high-quality graphics, GIFs, and video/audio assets that align with our brand.
  • Monitor and moderate social media conversations, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with events and union activities by attending and producing live social media content.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop and advance campaigns, identify key players, and maintain approvals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media marketing, editorial, or social department of an ecommerce, entertainment industry, digital media, or agency environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce creative and impactful social media content.
  • Experience with design programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Canva.
  • Skilled in shooting photos and video for social media, with the ability to edit videos and audio for social.
  • High level of attention to detail and fact-checking, with an eye for content that generates engagement.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
