Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team at Frontier Environmental Services. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for traveling to job sites and performing technical work related to the mechanical repairs of CAT, Hyundai, Deer, and Kobelco construction equipment, heavy trucks, and trailers.

Qualifications:
- Experience in repairing and maintaining construction equipment and heavy trucks, preferably in the construction, oil, and gas industry
- Welding experience is a plus
- General mechanic's tool set capable of supporting a heavy equipment fleet
- Must pass a DOT drug screening and criminal background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled and technical work to ensure equipment is in safe working order and meets project milestones
- Produce timely and detailed service reports, repair logs, and diagnose equipment using OEM software
- Ability to perform heavy work, exerting more than 50 pounds of force constantly, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and climbing, kneeling, standing, walking, crouching, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
Working Conditions:
Our Field Mechanics work outdoors in various weather conditions, including dry, wet, and humid environments, with temperatures ranging from below freezing to 90+ degrees. They are exposed to noise, dust, fumes, mists, odors, and vibrations, with a moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.
