Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking a skilled Medication Assistant to join our team. As a Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medication, performing vital signs, and providing exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures manual.
- Perform vital signs, give enemas, and suppositories as needed.
- Practice good leadership skills and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Document and report any medication errors immediately.
- Count controlled substance medications and follow proper sign-in, sign-off procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered on the NA1 registry with no allegations of abuse or neglect.
- Successfully complete the state-approved training program, including competency evaluation and facility orientation.
- Ability to read, see, hear, and speak adequately to perform the essential job responsibilities.
- Ability to crouch, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently during the workday.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
