Job Description

The Foster Care Family Specialist will be responsible for coordinating comprehensive case management plans for youth and families, ensuring the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in foster care.

This role involves conducting assessments of family strengths and needs, developing treatment and discharge plans, and delivering effective case management services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work with diverse populations, and have experience working in the child welfare system.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct home and community visits to assess family dynamics and develop individualized plans
  • Collaborate with foster care teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and updates
  • Provide guidance and support to foster families to promote healthy relationships and outcomes
  • Facilitate reunification efforts by connecting families with resources and services
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including casework notes and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working in the child welfare system
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
