Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrating state and local tax solutions with our existing clientele.
  • Conducting tax planning and research activities.
  • Gaining insights into state and local tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Assessing clients' current tax procedures to pinpoint inefficiencies and recommend improvements to mitigate tax exposure.
  • Collaborating with clients' IT teams to gather historical sales and purchasing data for compliance reporting, audit processes, and potential refunds or credits.
  • Assisting clients in evaluating sales/use tax software systems that align with their compliance requirements and facilitating the implementation process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Major in Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations; must have reliable transportation options.
  • Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progressing towards successful completion of the CPA examination - tax associates have the opportunity to accumulate the audit hours necessary for full certification.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Adept at multitasking in a dynamic work setting.

Compensation: The compensation range for this role is between $56,320 and $67,200. Selected candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
