Position Summary:

As a Junior Tax Consultant, you will be immersed in a comprehensive onboarding program that encompasses both administrative and professional training. Each new team member is assigned a Career Advocate to assist in defining personalized career objectives. Training will also include the effective use of technology, particularly in relation to the firm's accounting and tax systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and apply fundamental accounting and auditing practices in accordance with service standards.
  • Manage and execute daily responsibilities for tax projects across a diverse client base, adhering to RubinBrown's Client Service Standards.
  • Recognize and relay accounting, auditing, and tax-related concerns to team members.
  • Prepare necessary fieldwork, financial statements, and tax documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Interact directly with clients to address their needs.
  • Participate in the budget planning activities.
  • Work with a variety of clients from different sectors as assigned.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline; a Master's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Strong technical capabilities and a willingness to embrace ongoing learning in a technology-focused environment.
  • Ability to meet demanding client expectations while delivering high-quality services, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics.
  • Ability to contribute positively to a strategic business unit within the firm.
