Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager

UofL Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Medical ICU team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will oversee the overall operations of the unit, ensuring exceptional patient care and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement unit-specific goals and objectives that align with UofL Health’s strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
    • Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky.
    • 5+ years of experience in an acute care setting.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Prior experience in nursing leadership roles in the hospital setting.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area (If certification not present on hire, it is to be obtained within 3 years of hire into position.)
