Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician to join our team at Interstate Companies Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine conditions
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Inspect and repair or replace diesel engine components, including fuel systems, transmissions, and brakes
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers regarding repairs and maintenance
  • Meet quality control standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification a plus
  • Excellent understanding of diesel engine systems and components
  • Experience with diesel engine platforms, including Detroit Diesel, Cummins, CAT, and International
  • Ability to lift and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
