Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Anchorage, AK. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our clients' environmental projects, providing technical expertise and guidance on environmental compliance tasks, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions that minimize environmental impacts.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines
  • Work with environmental technicians and other technical staff to collect and analyze data, evaluate results, and prepare written project documentation
  • Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing proposals and reports
  • Review and document the processes necessary to obtain, develop, and update environmental permits, plans, reports, licenses, and other requirements necessary to achieve environmental compliance and restoration project objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or other related field
  • Five to ten years of experience working on environmental projects, or five to ten years working in an environmental analytical laboratory
  • A valid state driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Calista Brice Holding Company's Driving Policy
  • Ability to pass drug and background screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations certificate preferred
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations relating to stormwater, wastewater, air quality/emissions, oil storage, and waste in PE-licensed states
  • Experience in federal government projects highly desired
