Job Description

Job Overview
Accountable for the daily management of PeopleSoft while assessing, analyzing, and determining the user requirements for the PeopleSoft business system. The business systems are categorized by line of business (LOB): Materials Management, Grant & Fund Accounting, and Finance. Responsibilities include (1) converting business needs into design specifications for development, (2) diagnosing errors and/or issues and facilitating solutions, (3) crafting queries and/or reports, (4) conducting testing, and (5) supporting the creation of training resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive descriptions (requirements) of user expectations, program functionalities, and necessary steps for the development or modification of PeopleSoft applications.

• Assess and analyze fixes for PeopleSoft applications.

• Collaborate with Systems Analysts to create and execute test plans; this includes processes, panels, and reports.

• Review new PeopleSoft modules and third-party software options.

• Collaborate closely with fellow PeopleSoft business analysts across Materials Management, Finance, and Grant & Fund Accounting.

• Facilitate initial user acceptance testing of LOB modules and coordinate the final user acceptance process.


Qualifications

Education
A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Work Experience
At least 5 years of experience in managing Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP):

  • Proficient knowledge of PeopleSoft 8.4.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, with a focus on requirements definition, testing, and implementation.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for business correspondence and group presentations.
