Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team in Student Services. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students with behavioral needs achieve their goals.


">Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) by following established protocols to reduce problem behaviors and promote skill acquisition for students.">
  • Collect and maintain accurate data on students' progress toward behavior goals, including frequency, intensity, and duration of targeted behaviors.">
  • Support instruction by adapting lessons and classroom activities to meet students' behavioral needs.">
  • Crisis intervention: Use approved techniques to de-escalate challenging behaviors and participate in crisis management and safety interventions.">
  • Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes BCBA, teachers, therapists, and school administration to provide comprehensive support for students.">
  • Progress reporting: Communicate students' behavior progress to BCBA, teachers, and parents as required, contributing to progress meetings and IEP reviews.">
  • Social skills support: Facilitate social skills groups, individual skill-building sessions, and peer interaction opportunities for students with behavioral needs.">
  • Training and professional development: Attend required trainings, including continuing education to maintain RBT certification, and participate in regular supervision sessions with the BCBA.">

">About the Role

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with children, especially in a school setting or with students with disabilities, is preferred but not required.
