We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Claims Examiner - Customer Service Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, coworkers, and external parties.
The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately process insurance claims for payment, research and correct claim rejections, follow up on unpaid claims, and respond to related correspondence. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong understanding of medical insurance principles.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of previous experience in medical billing, preferably in a hospital or medical office setting. Previous telephone customer service experience and bilingual skills (Spanish) are highly valued. Experience with Meditech and Cerner systems is also preferred.
