Job Title: Lifeguard

Job Summary:
Minitab is seeking a skilled Lifeguard to join our team at Minitab State College, Pennsylvania, United States. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons at the Minitab aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the aquatics facility and act immediately and appropriately to secure their safety in the event of an emergency.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least current high school student with 6 months to 1 year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.
  • Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification, or lifeguard certification by a recognized source of training.
  • Red Cross CPR/AED certification

Qualifications:

  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
  • Knowledge of CPR, AED, and emergency medical procedures.
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Display sensitivity and tact when dealing with people at all physical levels.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport objects weighing 20 pounds.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
