Job Overview

The Manager of Client Access and Support Services plays a crucial role in overseeing secure and safe entry for clients in communal areas, as well as managing client correspondence operations. A vital aspect of this role is the ability to foster positive relationships with clients facing homelessness, guiding them through our services effectively and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist security personnel in communicating respectful, client-focused policies at the agency's entrance.
  2. Collaborate with Program Directors to ensure comprehensive knowledge of service access guidelines and communicate these rules consistently.
  3. Work alongside Crisis Intervention and Keys staff to understand client needs and facilitate access to advocates.
  4. Help de-escalate conflicts in communal areas, recognizing the diverse experiences and challenges faced by clients.
  5. Coordinate with various departments to ensure a welcoming environment for visitors and connect them with the appropriate staff.
  6. Oversee the organized operation of client mail services, adhering to established rules.
  7. Ensure that mail policies align with departmental needs and are consistently upheld.
  8. Provide managerial and clerical support to mailroom and security teams.
  9. Manage staff schedules to meet departmental needs and cover roles as necessary.
  10. Engage in regular supervision sessions with the Senior Director of Crisis Services.
  11. Participate in staff meetings, training, and development activities.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

A professional degree in client services, social work, or a related health field is strongly preferred. A minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience is required, along with advocacy or case management experience. Familiarity with the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, substance use, or other medical disabilities is essential. Lived experience and proficiency in Spanish are desirable.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Senior Director of Crisis Services.
