About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in a part-time day position at our Jonesboro Medical Office.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of standard radiographic procedures in a safe and efficient manner. This includes reviewing and transmitting films and reports to appropriate physicians, as well as performing reception and clerical duties within the Radiology Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Execution of Radiographic Procedures
    • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing their needs and providing patient education.
    • Perform radiographic and/or fluoroscopic procedures as required.
  • Quality Control and Patient Care
    • Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
    • Demonstrate skills for IV placement and injection of contrast materials.
    • Operate computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images.
    • Perform quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
  • Administrative and Communication Tasks
    • Enter and properly complete all patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP application.
    • Prepare films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability
    • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
    • Actively engage other health care providers (radiologist, ordering practitioners) to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
  • Professional Development and Compliance
    • Follow department procedures/processes/policies.
    • Practice safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
    • Follow universal precautions, infection control guidelines, and sterile technique.
    • Comply with all governing regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • One (1) year as a Radiological Technologist.
  • Education
    • N/A
  • License, Certification, Registration
    • Basic Life Support
    • Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • Additional Requirements
    • General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety and Protection.
    • General knowledge of exam protocols.
    • Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
